About Us
Built by People Who Were Tired of Spreadsheets
We started Lumen because three of us kept building the same dashboard from scratch for every new job. Spreadsheets pulled from four tools, a Friday afternoon lost to reconciling numbers, and a Slack thread asking what actually happened to signups last week. We're based in London and built the product we wished we'd had: dashboards that update live, alerts that catch the thing before your boss does, and reports that don't need a translator. Privacy was never a bolt-on for us, we design around it because product teams shouldn't have to choose between good data and doing right by their users. Every integration we ship, we use ourselves first. If it doesn't save someone an afternoon, we don't ship it.

How long does it take to get set up?+
Most teams connect their first data source and see a live dashboard within an hour of signing up. There's no lengthy onboarding call required, though our London support team is on hand Monday to Friday if you want to talk it through.
What does privacy-first actually mean here?+
It means we design the product so you can answer questions about your users without collecting more than you need, and we never sell or share your data. Access controls, data retention and anonymisation are built into the core product, not offered as an expensive add-on.
Which tools does Lumen integrate with?+
We connect with the common product, analytics and messaging tools that most teams already run, and we add new ones based on what our customers ask for. If something you rely on isn't supported yet, tell us and we'll look into it properly rather than giving you a vague maybe.
Can I set alerts for specific metrics without writing queries?+
Yes, alerts are built through the same interface as your dashboards, so if you can see a metric you can set a threshold on it. No SQL, no query language, just pick the number and the condition that matters to you.
What happens if I need help outside a dashboard question?+
Our support team works Monday to Friday and answers directly, not through a ticket queue. If it's a bigger integration question, we'll get someone who actually built that feature to reply.
